Um, you guys… something’s going seriously wrong here.
These numbers skyrocketed after the midterm elections in 2010 (remember the Tea Party?). The result is that opinions that were once considered “fringe” or “extreme” even for the right are now the new norm for the Republican Party (a fact evident in the selection of Paul Ryan as a Vice Presidential nominee).
